The KTECH mission provides specialized workforce training and credentialing for high demand occupations to a targeted, under-served population thereby addressing the following three areas: industry’s need for skilled workers, community’s need for increased employment rates and the individual’s need to be a productive, contributing member of society.
Most of our students would not and for many have not been successful with a traditional educational and career path. We address many obstacles to their success including but not limited to housing, hunger, transportation, learning, and economic issues. Many students in 2019 were awarded scholarships, grants, and financial assistance who would otherwise never have been able to access this level of educational opportunity.
Some wonderful success stories during this past funding period include our recent KTECH graduates Laderrick Thomas who now works at Johnson Controls, and Eric Lawrence now employed by Nextek Inc. Both young men are excelling since graduation, with managerial opportunities on the horizon.
Another success story and recent graduate is Takia Reid. Takia came to us needing a place to land and a path to follow. She’s blazed her own trail as a KTECH Graduate, a Davidson Farms resident turned college student, and House Mentor and official Kids to Love Team Member.
KTECH Performance Numbers through December 2019:

• 90% of students offered jobs or continued higher education
• 20 companies employ KTECH studentsAMRV RC&D’s 2019 investment in our students helped change lives and build a better tomorrow! THANK YOU!
