Program participants will use the mower approximately 36-40 hours a week during the spring/summer months and 7-10 hours a week during the fall/winter months. The men are learning how to maintain a farm under the supervision of the Cullman County Conservation District’s 2017 Conservation Farmer of the Year David Hall. In addition, they learn to accomplish meaningful tasks without being dependent on a life controlling substance and develop a work ethic. When they complete the program, they have employable skills needed in the community. As a result, they are able to make positive and productive contributions.
