Using the Campus Greenhouse to Teach Protection and Stewardship of Natural Resources

Our project allows members of the community to purchase plants raised by the students in the greenhouse that are taking agriscience classes at Guntersville HIgh School. The funds generated are put back into the program for FFA functions and events. The plants are sold at a more reasonable price than what members of the community might have to pay at retail sites. Our students also learned about water conservation and prevention of fertilizer spillage that might contaminate our local drinking water. We are very thankful for the assistance provided by the RC&D this year!
