Imagination Library of Fort Payne (The Dollywood Foundation)

This project enabled us to send 497 books, at no cost for families, to children ages birth to age five in our community. Beginning of the year, kindergarten data in our low-income area shows a trend that students in the community are typically unprepared academically for kindergarten. And, by getting books into the hands of children before formal education, we can help close the academic gap in children who are at risk to struggle academically.
