Hazel Green VFD "Jim Patterson" Station 4

These funds were secured to assist in paying for the building of HGVFD Station 4, in honor of Jim Patterson. Our 2nd event being the grand opening, in which many state and local representatives attended. While speeches were concluding, an attendee began experiencing symptoms of heat exhaustion. HGVFD EMS personnel were present and able to begin assessment and treatment quickly, including requesting an ambulance for further assessment and/or transport. The attendee was determined to be stable and was taken home by her husband. With the situation controlled, all other attendees were able to enjoy the rest of the event without further incidents. This shows that our members are prepared for all types of emergency at any given moment and with the addition of this new station, our members will be able to better serve our community!
