The students had the opportunity to conduct research on the different types of birds native to North Alabama. Once the research was done the students used the internet and local bird watchers to order the necessary supplies for the project. Some of the supplies were ordered. Central fire department purchased 10 sets of innotex turnout gear that was fitted to each certified firefighter. Emergency equipment professionals (EEP) was the vendor for the new gear. This turnout gear made it possible to outfit 10 certified firefighters. This gear is lighter, safer, and overall helps everyone in the community that depends on the volunteers for emergency services.
