TARCOG Defibrillator Project

The TARCOG Defibrillator Project has provided the means to secure ten defibrillators (five in DeKalb County and five in Jackson County) and place in rural senior centers that are some distance from hospitals. With TARCOG’s other three counties (Madison, Limestone and Marshall) already having AED’s in their centers, this project has ensured that all TARCOG senior centers are now equipped with AED’s. Training on this equipment has already been provided to Council on Aging staff and senior center staff.
