Baseball as an Outdoor Classroom

This project allowed us to meet the American Disabilities Act and made the surroundings much more accessible for those with physical limitations, such as walkers and wheelchairs. The total area has been leveled, filled in, paved, and designated parking for handicapped persons is now available. There is a concrete walk for them to travel on up to the concession stand/restroom facility and to a designated seating area behind the backstop for easy viewing of game. More people are attending since there is the convenience of unloading and loading on pavement close to the field. The landscaping is more pleasant to the eye with all the erosion corrected and the land is flat with grass beginning to grow.
