UCAN American Indian Resources, Inc. Web Development and Community Outreach

This project allowed us to bring our herb business to public awareness and reach out beyond our community. It also allowed us the opportunity to reach out to the community about the natural resources most people have in their own yards (what most consider to be weeds). We were able to get enough interest in the event, herb walk, we sponsored with the assistance of ACES to encourage us to continue offering this event and expand on it (ie. seasonal herb walk). UCAN has sponsored herb walks before but were only able to reach our tribal citizens. This project gave us an opportunity to reach out to our community and surrounding communities. We got enough response from this to answer these questions:
Is this something we should continue to offer
Should we try and expand this project to reach more of the surrounding communities
Would it be feasible to offer more of these herb walks (seasonal)
The answer to all these questions was YES.
