Rocket City Ukulele Festival

The festival provided a venue for local ukulele clubs (several constituted solely by Senior Citizens) and individuals to perform their ukulele skills in a supportive atmosphere. The event also provided over four hours of educational presentations for attendees of all ages to develop their individual musical skills. The assemblage of ukulele enthusiasts also offered opportunities for skill sharing and collaboration, and exposure of area ukulele organizations to each other. Professional ukulele band performances allowed attendees to experience the instrument’s potential.
