2019 Projects
All-Inclusive Playground
The City of Moulton's existing playground was enhanced by installing all-inclusive playground equipment that can be utilized by special needs children.
Firefighter Communication Upgrade
Radio equipment was purchased and installed for Lawrence County Firefighters to improve communication between two fire departments that work together.
Fire Department Training Room Upgrade
Mount Hope Fire Departmnet had their office and training area improved with white boards, projector and screen, storage cabinets, and more to assist with conducting training sessions.
Meals on Wheels Transporter Bags
Electric meal transporters and meal coolers were purchased and used to deliver hot meals to home-bound citizens that are unable to come to the senior centers for meals.
Museum Operational Support
Visitors of Courtland Heritage Museum continue to receive education with the presence o docent and with additional display cabinets and other equipment.
Turnout Gear
New turnout gear was purchased for the Hatton Fire Department in order to update its set of safety and protective wear for firefighters.
2018 Projects
Courtland Museum Operational Support
This museum serves as the focal point for all community festivals and events. Picnic in the Park, the Antiques Car Show and Christmas Open House are examples. Children are educated about local history and the role our community has played in US & world events.
Farm to Fork
The Farm to Fork dinner was a county wide community event. Participants were educated on the fruits and vegetables that are locally grown and available at farmers markets. Some of these food items were prepared and served on site to the participants. A presentation was also given on "The Truth behind our Food".
Town Creek Farmers Market
The Town of Town Creek now has the ability to furnish vegetables to the community. The town is without a grocery store and the farmers market serves as a community produce and food market as well as a gathering location.
Raised Bed Garden for R. A. Hubbard High School
This provided R. A. High School outdoor gardens to grow seasonal vegetables and to provide great learning experiences for the students.
Recycle Trailer Project
Recycle trailer provides a mobile recyclable material collector for community parks and schools.
