Farmer's Market/Event Center

The new 4000 s.f. Farmer’s Market/Event Center has thus far proven to be a very popular destination for the citizens of Hartselle and surrounding community residents. This facility was dedicated with a community event ribbon cutting on May 27, 2017 in time for local produce growers to start selling fresh garden vegetables to the public. The spacious “open air” facility will comfortably accommodate twenty vendor spaces and is equipped with separate men’s and women’s ADA compliant toilet rooms. The average vendor occupancy on any given day is 16 spaces as compared to an average of four spaces in the old structure this time last year . Based on visual observations this year, it is very apparent that more “shoppers” are utilizing the intended services of this new building than in years past. More shoppers in our Historic Downtown area undoubtedly provides economic benefits to other downtown merchants as well. This fresh structure including lighting and ample parking will also serve as an Event Center for both public and private use during evening hours and on weekends. The increased activity through diverse utilization of this facility will bring many extended benefits to our community for many years to come.
