Funding provided from AMRV RC&D to support the construction of the new Decatur Dog Park has filled a recreational gap for residents and visitors of North Alabama. The museum promoted the annual Wings Over Courtland honoring the veterans who trained at the Courtland Airbase during WWII, as well as all veterans. The museum operated as the USO during WWII, and contains exhibits dedicated to the period. The museum displays over 800 exhibits educating and informing the public about Courtland’s rich history.
