The North Alabama First Annual Veteran Farmers Conference is a free, one-day event held at the Alabama A&M Winford Thomas Agricultural Research Station in Hazel Green, Alabama. This conference was created by veterans for veterans and focuses on therapeutic farming and agricultural startups. Ruminant Fertility and Helpful Programs for Small Producers

The AMRV-RC&D and Alabama A&M University Extension will hold a program for small farmers on managing small ruminants with an emphasis on fertility. In addition USDA, NRCS, and Rural Development representatives will discuss programs that are beneficial to producers. AMRV-RC&D representative will provide information on Free Energy Assessments for farms and small rural businesses. Light refreshments will be provided.
